Quite a Day

Short and not so sweet or not so sweet . . .    Had hard time waking up this morning - Sunday.  Bad headache.  Turms out it is carbon monoxide poisoning.  Spent several hours in ER and have come home.  I'm freaked out.  Afraid to sleep/  Very sick.  Every one else is fine.  Lost 4 birds.  I can't stay awake now.

God bless you all, Penny

Good grief!!!!  Why only you and 4 birds?  Seems like the entire household would have gotten it.

Am not a regular commentator, but am greatly relieved you survived the carbon monoxide poisoning. Has the cause of the carbon monoxide forming been established AND eliminated? You must have this checked.

Penny, I am so sorry to hear about this incident.  Carbon Monoxide -- we all know how bad tu his odorless hazzard is -- I am glad to know that all of you are okay.  You may not feel well, but you'll get better.  My sympathies on the loss of the birds.  It's difficult, at best.

Here in MA we now have a new law requiring CO detectors in all homes since there were a number of incidents where people lost their lives from CO in the last couple of winters.

You know this, but, the firefighter/EMT in me has to say it, 'If you don't have a CO detector, you must get one.  And fast.'

Feel better!  Prayers your way.

Thank God you are OK! That is such a scary experience. I sure hope you've been able to find the source of the problem so it gets taken care of. Sorry about the birds. Be safe and take care of yourself.
